Overview
Mount Kilimanjaro is the Crown of Tanzania. At 5896 metres (19,344ft), Kilimanjaro is highest mountain in Africa and one of the highest volcanoes in the world, attracting trekkers and climbers from every corner of the world. Although only just three degrees south of the equator its two peaks Kibo and Mawenzi are permanently snow capped. The beauty of Mount Kilimanjaro has to be seen to be believed. Kilimanjaro can be climbed at any time of the year; but due to long rains it is not preferred to climb in April and May.
The Marangu route is the most popular and easiest way to the summit. The trail has huts along its route with all the basic necessities. No technical skills are required for this five-day trek.
Actual Climb: 4 Nights/5 Days excluding first and last night accommodation in Moshi.
Optional: The trek can also be taken in 5 Nights/6 Days to add acclimatization with an extra day in Horombo & overnight at Horombo hut.
