An important regional transport hub, Singida lies 350km southwest of Arusha. It is situated at an altitude of 1,500m on an elevated plateau within the rift valley. Singida is most likely to be visited by travelers driving from the central rift valley through to the Lake Victoria region.

Places to Visit
There are no tourist sites in Singida. The only interesting spot in Singida is the shallow and highly saline water body- Lake Singida. The lake attracts a number of bird species including the thousands of flamingo when there is suitable level. The other less attractive water on the south is Lake Kindai.
